I'm not a very good Texan

I'm not a very good Texan. I don't love most of the stuff that "good Texans" love. What is said "stuff", you ask? I'll give you an example:

5:03 pm, I am getting in my car to head home from work. I am sweating from the 45 second walk from the building to my car. The a/c is on full blast. It's April 22 and it's on the 90s. My car was 96*, but the temp outside was only slightly lower. I.hate.Texas.summers. I really, really do. I hate the heat. I hate feeling like an elephant is sitting on my chest when I get into my car bc the air is so think and hot I can't take in a full breath. I think April is way too soon to be this hot out. I live in the wrong state. Ryan feels the same way, luckily. Maybe someday we will work up the nerve to move...

Amen to that, sister! I also hate the Texas heat...a lot! And I agree with it being way too early for temps in the 90s!

Oh honey - you just have to buy yourself a lovely parasol...like this one: http://farfallawedding.files.wordpress.com/2008/02/parasol.jpg
Not only is it functional but it's OH SO fashionable.
